          Warnings

Drought and rain are the same for every pasture and are often "normal" out here. With this on, a pasture's status comes from its own greenness, long-term trend, grazing days and what the crew reports. Severe-weather alerts and crew reports always show.

          How pasture status works

Each pasture is rated from what was actually measured or reported: rain compared with past years, satellite greenness compared with normal, the U.S. Drought Monitor, long-term grass trends, how long cattle have been in it, and problems your crew reported in the last 2 weeks.

Good: nothing wrong. Watch: one thing is off. Act: a serious problem your crew reported (like water low, fence down or a dead animal), or two things off at once. Your own eyes on the ground come first.

Photos: the app measures how much of the ground in the picture is green, using the Canopeo color method, and compares it with the last photo taken from the same spot. Take photos from the same spots over time to see real change.
